Doral cigarettes fall under the protective umbrella of the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and burst on the market in the year 1969 when Doral cigarette coupons heralded their appearance. The effect of this change means that they last longer and Doral cigarettes followed up this announcement with the line that this change is akin to a pack of free Doral cigarettes per carton for the smoker. It is obvious that the smoker’s market is not kind to the cigarettes it considers to be value brands, or generics. The major brands are still much more desirable, but Doral cigarette commercial – back in the day when they were permitted – sought to downplay the image of the bargain basement smoke and instead show itself as the cigarette that saved you money but not at the expense of taste. Reynolds Tobacco Company has not been able to increase sales of this brand significantly.
